Situated a short drive south of the southern edge of Riding Mountain National Park, Onanole’s economy hinges largely on agriculture and tourism.

The population of Onanole swells in the summer as tourists from across Canada gather in the area to spend their summers in Riding Mountain National Park and many of the other beautiful fresh water lakes in the area.
